1.1 Purpose
The ProboKonG is a transportable filtering device for
concentrating large volume (up to 400
- 1000 litres) water suspensions of microbiological objects having sizes more than 1.5 micron (plancton, sanitary significant protozoa, gelmint eggs,
etc.) to up to near 100 ml concentrate volume.
The
filtering of the samples can be carried out both in the laboratory, and
directly on a sampling site:
water
supply stantions, water pipes, manufacture of bottled water, springs, wells, water bodies, rivers, seas, swimming
pools, etc.
Also,
the device is used for washing-off everyday life objects and vegetables for carrying out analysis of parasitical
contamination.
The trade mark "ProboKonG-SES"
device is adapted to Russian sanitary inspectorate objects (ÌÓÊ 4.2.2314-08, ÌÓÊ 4.2.1884-04, ÌÓÊ 4.2.2661-10.4.2, ÌÓÊ 4.2.2959-11), it permits to sample directly from water pipe nets
and from free-flow vessels (pools, reservoirs, wells, rivers, seas etc.) for
which purpose it is completed (trade mark “ProboKonG - Expeditionary”) with the
floating pump. Power supply of the pump is mains supply 220V, or the
vehicle-borne, or board battery with optional inverter 12/220 V, 600W.
The device is ready for
using and doesn’t need an adjustment work.
Restrictions: the device is not effective for filtering
of water containing:
- Particles of soap
(hard ) coagulated in hard water;
- Particles of
aluminium hydroxide, not extracted appropriately after electrocoagulation
- Much bacteria with
thick capsule (for example family Pseudomonas), propagating under
long time storing of water sample, or in some stagnant ponds.

Purpose.
The filtering top layer sampler “OFF-25” is generally
intended for preparing of samples on transparent track-etched membranes for
microscopy in parasitology, hydrobiology, microbiology, etc. The device is
especially useful for the collection of microscopic objects from liquid
surfaces, for example in analytical parasitological methods, inclusive sample
purification by flotation. It can also be used for zone sampling for
microscopy in gradient centrifugation.
